Professor Kemka Humphrey Ogbonda holds a BSc (Botany) and MSc (Microbiology) degrees of the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. He also holds a PhD (Microbiology) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) of the University of Port Harcourt.
Kemka H. Ogbonda is a Professor of Environmental and Applied Microbiology at the Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, port Harcourt, where he has held several positions including:
- Director, School of Basic Studies; o Head, St. John’s Diobu Campus;
- Dean, Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences
- Presently he is Director, Directorate of Research and Development of the University.
Professor K.H. Ogbonda has authored and co-authored over 70 publications including Journal articles and books. He belongs to several professional bodies both local and international, including:
- Member, Institute of Biology (MIBiol), United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland;
- chartered Biologist (cBiol), Institute of Biology, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland; and
- Honorary Rosalind Member of London Jomalist Press (United Kingdom);
- He is visible on Researchgate, Googlescholar, publons.
Professor Ogbonda is married with children.
