He is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Office and Information Management (OIM), Faculty of Management Sciences, Ignatius Ajuru, University Education, Port Harcourt.

He obtained PhD degree in Public Administration (Human Resources Management) from Ebonyi State University Abakaliki. He also obtained M.Sc. degree in Public Administration (Human Resources Management), from Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki. He also holds Master of Public Administration (MPA) from Enugu State University of Science and Technology. He also holds Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Secretarial Administration and Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) degree from Rivers State University of Science and Technology, Port Harcourt (now Rivers State University).

He is a member of the Research and Development Network. Dr. Charles Mebom is also a Management/Administrative Consultant.

He has authored and co-authored many academic Journals and books. He has also delivered papers in several conferences.
